The Peabody Orlando was sold to Hyatt in 2013 for $717 million and renamed “Hyatt Regency Orlando International Drive”. The new owner kept the majority of the hotel’s staff, but retired the famous duck parade. The ducks moved back to the original Peabody Hotel in Memphis when the Hyatt took over the hotel.
